Notes from Molly's new family: 11 March 2012
Molly came to her new home in June 2011 as a very
timid little girl, no tail wagging , no interest in
walks, and very unsure of the world. Those beautiful
brown eyes were very scared but we were going to give
her all the love in the world. We were told that someone
had taken her home for 1 night only & returned her the
next morning . We are so lucky that Molly was returned
to beagle rescue as now she is ours & the love of our
lives!!.
Well, now Miss Molly never stops wagging her tail &
we only have to say THAT word & we are off!. She loves
an afternoon cuddle particularly on a cool day & an
invitation onto the bed in the morning to continue that
very important pastime, snoozing. She has become very
social & loves to play with other dogs & toys ( Molly
didn't play with toys when she came to us). We go to dog
training every week where she has reached 3rd class ! We
are so proud of her & love her to bits. She is the most
gentle , affectionate little girl & she makes us laugh
all day!. We cant imagine life without her & she has
definitely found her forever home.

We are delighted with our new family member, Molly &
she is settling in very well & is a completely different
dog from when she came home 2 months ago. I am taking
her to training every week at the Metropolitan Mid week
training club & she loves it! We have met several Beagle
owners there.
14 June 2011
I thought I'd give you an update on Miss Molly, 1
week on.
Molly has certainly come out of her shell in one
week! We are besotted by her & she has a beautiful
nature. We had no problem at all with her on Sunday when
she came home. She timidly came to us when she was
called & happily sat on our laps. By Monday he tail was
parallel with the ground. By Tuesday she was playing
with her stuffed teddy & another stuffed toy! She has
been very good & after I learnt the " toilies" lingo she
hasn't has any more inside mishaps.
We are getting lots of tail wags & is clearly happy
to see people she has met previously. She is barking &
protecting her territory.
As i mentioned we did leave her for the first time
for a couple of hours on Thursday to test her separation
skills. She didn't make any noise apparently, but did
have a good dig at our side gate. We fixed that up!! But
she did have another go at it on Friday when i went out
for 2 hrs to shop!. I caught her in the act with that
one! I am hoping she will get over this & not burrow! I
was actually surprised that she would attempt to get out
as she is so shy?. So, we are doing well except for a
little separation anxiety at this stage, so i am hoping
a week on we will conquer that!. I think when she
realises that we will always come home, she will settle.
Molly is walking really well on the lead & responds
really well to commands.
I will give you an update in another week.
Regards,
Mary
