Please be aware that applications are not necessarily on a ‘first come - first served’ basis, but rather, each application is matched to individual dogs and their needs and the most appropriate potential home is chosen. It may take a few weeks for a decision to be made as the foster carer(s) and the Rescue Co-ordinator will carefully assess each application as our priority is to find exactly the right home for that particular beagle

Sadly Daisy's owner had passed away and her husband contacted Beagle Rescue NSW as he just couldn't give Daisy the time and care she needed. He surrendered her to BRNSW giving Daisy the chance to find another loving home.

According to her paperwork Daisy is a Beagle x Border Collie and while she is a little longer legged than some beagles, she looks and acts like a typical beagle! Just look a her photos and video

Daisy has been in foster care for a few weeks now and has settled in very well with the company of the resident beagle, Scout (who was once a foster beagle too!). Preferably we would like a home where there is another beagle or social breed of dog to keep her company and/or someone who is home most of the time. Beagles are pack dogs and do need company as they do not do well when left on their own for long hours.

Daisy has been ....

-  Health & temperament checked

-  Desexed

-  C5 Vaccinated

-  Lifetime Registered

-  Annual heartworm vaccinated

-  Started on regular flea & worming treatment

Notes from Daisy's foster carer, Kim.....

Daisy is a sweet and affectionate 15 month old little girl. She is long legged and a bundle of energy who requires ongoing love and training.

Daisy has been enjoying playing and wrestling with her foster brother whilst she's been in care and ideally her new home will include another / other dogs. She walks on her lead quite well but can start pulling when she sees other dogs. She also loves the beach but hasn't yet mastered her dog paddling but would quickly do so as her confidence grows.

She currently sleeps in her bed in an undercover outdoor area because although her previous owners said she was house trained, she has had a number of 'accidents' particularly when she becomes over excited or when she is disciplined. The frequency has decreased as she has settled into her foster home so it may just be a transitional issue as she adjusts to new environments.

Like all beagles, Daisy loves her food but will continue to have to learn to slow down.

Daisy loves to spend time with humans and loves to gives kisses and snuggle in when she settles down from playing
